ALITA 7016 Unsaturated Polyester Resin - High Temperature Resistance & High-Speed Extrusion

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 7016 resin is an unsaturated polyester resin primarily made from phthalic anhydride. It has a moderate viscosity and high reactivity. ALITA 7016 resin exhibits excellent wetting properties, high reactivity, fast curing, and superior thermal strength. Products made from this resin are resistant to high temperatures, have a high heat deflection temperature, excellent mechanical properties, good toughness, high modulus,
and high hardness. It is suitable for high-speed extrusion processes.

Usage instructions:

1. The ALITA 7016 resin does not contain wax, promoters, or thixotropic agents.
2. For the curing system in the extrusion process, it is recommended to use BPO curing agent at a concentration of 0.5-2.0% and TBPB curing agent at a concentration of 0.5-1.5%. The actual selection should be based on specific equipment, products, process temperature, extrusion speed, and other factors. To reduce shrinkage when producing thick-walled products, it is advisable to add low-shrinkage additives.
3. For applications requiring higher heat resistance and resistance to seawater, it is recommended to choose ALITA 239 resin, which is a benzene-based resin. For applications requiring higher anti-corrosion performance, it is recommended to choose ALITA 901 resin, which is an epoxy vinyl-based resin.

Handling and Storage:

This resin contains ingredients which could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn.
Drums - It is highly recommended that all material is stored at stable temperatures below 25°C (77°F). Avoid exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. To avoid contamination of product with water, do not store outdoors. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss. Rotate stock.
